FRY DAL(YELLOW LENTILS)



Preparation time-30 minute
Ingredients:
Toor dal( yellow lentils)- 1 cup
1 Onion chopped 
2 Tomato chopped
5 Green chilly chopped
4 Curry leaves
2 Red  dry chilly
Fresh coriander
Oil- 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds-1/2 tbsp
Mustard seeds_1/2 tbsp
Asafoetida (hing)- 2 pinch
Coriander powder_1 tbsp
Turmeric powder-1/2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method:

  • Put the lentils in the pressure cooker washed it 2- 3 time and add 2 cup of water cook it for 10 minute in medium flame.
  • Take pan heat 3 tbsp oil in it and add cumin seeds,mustard seed,asafoetida saute it till seeds makes a noise about 1 minute.
  • Add curry leaves,chopped onion,green chilly,red chilly saute it for 2 to 3 minute.
  • Add tomato,coriander powder,salt,turmeric powder cook it foe 3 minute in low flame
  • Add a boiled dal cook it high flame and bring this to boil after it comes boiled turn it low flame cook for 10 minute then turn off flame and garnished with coriander leaves.
  • Dal fry ready to serve hot with rice.
